Pokebutt Project

I’ve been working on this project for a few months now and wanted to share!

I’ve been trying to get more confident with my digital art for a while. I took a many-years break from drawing and painting, so I’m both rusty and trying to adjust to the new medium. So I kind of struggle with doing projects that will help me improve.

I thought a fun way to get myself to practice would be to pick a collection of things I could draw. Something that has a large volume, interesting shapes, and that I love. So of course Pokemon came to mind. I had a friend in middle school who would draw every Pokemon. She had sketchbooks full of them.

But then as I was sketching, I also recalled the episode of Bob’s Burgers where Linda’s sister decorates the restaurant with animal butts. And thought that would be perfect to replicate with the Pokemon.
