I’ve been playing Hades and am of course in love with all of the character art. The design for that game is so beautiful. I’m VERY bad at actually playing the game, so I get to go back to the mansion and chat with Nyx frequently.

These are all the timed studies I did in October. The studies are really helping me keep learning digital art. I think I’ve made more progress in the past two months than the previous five years!

These are all the timed studies I did in September. Studies are such a great way to learn and practice art! I’m finding it especially helpful to do timed studies. When I give myself unlimited time, I get overwhelmed and intimidated by all the details. Starting by acknowledging, “There’s no way in hell I can do this in 60 minutes!” weirdly lets me get more done.

A Mother’s Day gift for my mom this year. I spent almost two weeks working on this (In the mornings before my actual work). I’m starting to feel pretty good about digital painting now. Obviously I still have a LONG way to go, but I’m not feeling held back by using a tablet anymore. Now I can start focusing on the actual art fundamentals :)
