Kruphix Kigu

I wanted to try my hand at making a Kigu cosplay! I’ve seen a bunch of great kigus out in the wild and wanted one of my own. They’re great for bringing a comfy costume to a MagicFest.

This was also my first real quarantine project, unfortunately. I had originally planned on making a new costume in time for MagicFest Seattle, which was supposed to take place during my birthday weekend too :( I made this instead because it seemed more and more likely that Seattle wasn’t happening.

Kigus are great for #cosplayathome! It doubles as just a comfy outfit to wear around the house.

Kruphix is great at multi-tasking!

And you know who else loves Kigus? …

Cats do!

Hopper was a big fan of this from day 1.

She also wanted to be helpful when I was hand-sewing.

I’m definitely going to make more kigus! It’s really fun to make a costume this way. It’s a little more abstract than traditional cosplays and you get a little more creative freedom.
